# What is Connector?

The connector runs beside the protected application. In the qURL CLI, it is embedded in the daemon used for local publication.

It does not automatically close existing public ports. Keep the origin on loopback or a private container network, and retain the device state needed across restarts.

## How LayerV Implements This

Use qurl publish for a local HTTP app. For a supervised or containerized deployment, follow the versioned CLI daemon guide for configuration, enrollment, and persistent state.
