# What is a Quick Tunnel?

Cloudflare uses the name for tunnels started with cloudflared tunnel --url, which get a random trycloudflare.com hostname that stops working when the process stops. Other services offer similar account-free tunnels over SSH.

Because they need no account and hand out disposable hostnames under a trusted domain, quick tunnels appear in published reports of malware delivery and phishing.

## How LayerV Implements This

Publishing with the qURL CLI also needs no account, but the app gets no public hostname. Access is a per-recipient link that is single-use by default and expires.
