# What is Single-Use Link?

A single-use link is consumed by its first successful redemption. An unused link can also expire.

Single-use does not mean identity-bound: if a valid link is forwarded before redemption, another holder may redeem it first. The established session has its own lifetime.

## How LayerV Implements This

Set one\_time\_use when issuing a link through a supported API operation. Manage session duration separately, and revoke the link when its access must end before the normal limits.
