# What is a Tunnel Interstitial?

Several tunnel services put a warning or reminder page in front of browser visitors on free plans. ngrok and Microsoft dev tunnels describe theirs as anti-phishing measures, because free tunnel hostnames are used to host phishing pages.

The page usually disappears after a visitor clicks through once, when the request sends a specific header, or on a paid plan.

## How LayerV Implements This

qURL shows recipients no interstitial: the app’s hostname answers only networks admitted by a link, so there is no open page to abuse, and the link opens the app directly.
