# What is Vibe Coding?

Andrej Karpathy coined the term in February 2025 for a style of programming where you steer an agent such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex in plain language and judge the result by running it, rather than by reading every line.

The app usually runs on localhost while you build. Showing it to someone means deploying a copy, opening a tunnel, or sharing the running app directly.

## How qURL Fits

The agent that built the app can also share it. One prompt points it at the qURL skill; it publishes the running app privately from your machine and gives you an address to send, with no account and no public URL. It applies the private access rules you choose, with email invitations for named recipients. Recipients keep email verification codes in their own browser flow. Ask for a one-time link when that meets your needs.
