Conformance Status
LayerV.ai is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
What We've Implemented
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy (h1-h6), landmark regions,
<figure>/<figcaption>for charts - Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are focusable and operable via keyboard
- Skip Link: A “Skip to content” link is available for keyboard users
- Focus Management: Mobile menu traps focus when open; Escape key closes it; focus returns to trigger
- Color Contrast: Text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus states on all interactive elements using
:focus-visible - Responsive Design: Content reflows at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling
- Reduced Motion: Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting - Form Labels: All form inputs have associated labels and error messages
- Screen Reader Support: Charts include visually-hidden text summaries; ARIA labels on interactive components
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following accessibility gaps and are working to address them:
- Complex Animations: The hero animation and interactive demos convey visual narratives that may not be fully equivalent for screen reader users. We provide descriptive aria-labels but some context may be lost.
- Third-Party Embeds: External content (YouTube videos, GitHub widgets) may have their own accessibility limitations outside our control.
Testing
Our accessibility testing includes:
- Automated Testing: ESLint with jsx-a11y plugin runs on every code change
- Manual Testing: Keyboard-only navigation verified across all pages
- Screen Reader: Tested with VoiceOver on macOS
- Browser Testing: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop; Safari and Chrome on mobile
We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit. This is planned for Q1 2026.

- Current and previous two major versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
- VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android)
- Browser zoom up to 400%
