What is Network Hiding Protocol (NHP)?

Network Hiding Protocol (NHP) uses cryptographic messages to authorize access before allowing the protected connection. It is described in a CSA specification and an IETF Internet-Draft.

OpenNHP is an open-source implementation of the protocol. Network hiding concerns access to the protected resource; the surrounding application and network still need their own security controls.

How LayerV Implements This

LayerV uses OpenNHP to authorize access to published resources. The qURL CLI embeds the connector for local HTTP apps. Keep the app on loopback or a private container network; publishing does not close a public route that already exists.
