Share your local app
in one prompt.

Share the app running on your machine without deploying it. qURL™ creates a private link that expires automatically.

Give this to your agent

Read https://layerv.ai/skills/qurl/SKILL.md and use qURL to share the app I'm running locally.

How it works

  1. Your agent sets up qURL

It reads the qURL skill and installs the CLI for your system.

  2. Your app stays on your machine

Nothing is uploaded or deployed. qURL securely shares the app you're already running locally.

  3. You get a private link

Send it to anyone. It opens in their browser and expires automatically.

The moment it works, share it.

No hosting, no builds, no DNS. One prompt and you get a secure link to share your local build.

Show a client or a friend

Send the real, running app, not a screen recording. They click around while you watch the reaction.

Feel it on your phone

Open the link on your phone and try the app on a real device, seconds after you built it.

Get feedback before you ship

Let a few people click through while you keep building. New version, new link, no redeploy.

Hand it to another agent

Give an agent a link to one app on your machine and nothing else. It gets to work; the rest of your machine stays hidden.

Sharing often? Keep the skill installed.

Save the qURL skill to your agent once and just ask it to “share this app” from then on.

FAQs

Do I need an account?

No. Neither do the people you share with. Your agent installs the CLI, and the first publish sets up your machine automatically.

Is my laptop exposed to the internet?

Not through qURL. Your app stays hidden from public scans and no inbound port is opened; only someone holding a valid link can reach it, and only that one app. If you already exposed the app another way, such as a tunnel or a dev server listening on 0.0.0.0, close that separately.

Which agents does this work with?

Any coding agent that can run terminal commands, such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Windsurf. Paste the prompt and it takes care of the rest.

What happens when I close my laptop?

The app is reachable only while your machine is on and the app is running. When both are back, sharing picks up again without publishing again. If your link has expired by then, ask your agent for a new one.

How long do links last?

Links expire on their own. Ask your agent for a shorter or longer one; the service sets the maximum. Ask for a new link whenever you need one.

Can I stop sharing?

Yes. Ask your agent to stop sharing the app. It can turn sharing back on later, or delete it for good.

Send a link, not a deploy.
