What is Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP)?

A Software-Defined Perimeter uses a controller to evaluate access requests and enforcement components to allow approved connections.

Typical roles include:

  • A client that requests access
  • A controller that authorizes the request
  • An enforcement point that controls the connection

Specific identity checks, supported protocols, and session controls depend on the implementation.

How LayerV Implements This

LayerV uses OpenNHP and resource-scoped access links. Local publication uses the connector embedded in the qURL CLI. Link policies complement the identity and application controls configured for the resource.
